Day 7 | 365

Mommies are superheros. Today, this lil guy was taking a bath at 4:30pm. “Why take a bath at 4:30pm? That’s an odd time.” You are correct. But by a series of unfortunate events, Peanut got ahold of B’s dirty diaper and had POOP smooshed in his hands today. So yea…Mommies are superheros. Between carsickness and poopie hands…I’m spent this week. But here’s a cute pic of Peanut and some beautiful (unedited) golden hour light at our house<3 NOT the last that you’ll see of this light during this 365.

Day 6 | 365

Short on words today…this was the BEFORE picture of our carsick incident this morning. I’ll spare you the after. It was a long day and I’m nursing, so I sort of cheated with an iPhone photo. But wait. What does nursing have to do with this?? It means I can’t have a *few* margaritas to take away the “give a damn”. Hence, iPhone photo. Here’s to a better tomorrow for everyone! 😀 2015-365Jan6-1

Day 5 | 365

This photo reminds me how important it is to PRINT our photos. My daughter regularly stops and looks at photos on our walls and says, “Look! There’s Dada!” (while he’s at work). I am in desperate need of updating some of our photos. I’m pretty sure Peanut is only in one photo on our walls…oops. Next coupon for prints I get, I’ll order them;)

Second up, my daughter has OFFICIALLY, UNDENIABLY got my taste buds:) This is her eating onions as I chop them (which her father vehemently dislikes…mostly a texture thing). I remember doing this very thing with my parents growing up. Yet another moment that the “Circle of Life” song from the Lion King starts to play in my head…

2015-365Jan5-2(I missed focus on this picture, but the memory is still important to me…it looks like I got her hair in focus, but not her hand/mouth…I’ll keep on getting better:)

Best wishes!

Day 4 | 365

Today was a good day. Partially productive. Partially lazy. Unfortunately it is the official end to the holidays for the most part around here, meaning this is a good FULL week with the kids on my own again. I’m already missing our company DEARLY. Sigh…

Our pictures today were a sort of before/after nap time fun:)

First up: Before! My child is NOT the child that gets tired and rubs her eyes and relaxes. Mine gets really hyper and crazy…almost slap happy. People don’t believe me when I tell them she’s tired. This was her today before nap:p2015-365Jan4-1

2015-365Jan4-2Then she woke up. I always loved the quote by Zoey Deschanel, “In an ideal world, no one would talk before 10 am. People would just hug, because waking up is really hard.” So. Much. Truth. My poor daughter has inherited my hatred for getting out of bed…2015-365Jan4-3

Then we play…quietly with lil brother:) 2015-365Jan4-4

Love this one. Already looking up to his daddy:)2015-365Jan4-5Until tomorrow, best wishes! ❤

Day 3 | 365

This morning, my husband went out in the woods to exercise some of his manliness by chopping up a tree that had fallen with a chainsaw (one of his many versions of “therapy”). B was watching him while Peanut was sleeping. She apparently thought the chainsaw was too loud for the baby, so she was yelling at him, “Dada! Shhh! Brother is sleeping!” Because, you know, yelling that inside the house is not loud at all. 😛
